Can you remember the last time you lost something? Maybe it was your ring, a pen, or even your iPod. It always seems like you just saw it a minute ago! It is so quick and easy to loose something, but it can take so much longer to find it and put it back in its proper place.
The same thing can be said about God. It’s so easy to forget that He’s there. It’s so easy to lose Him amongst our schoolwork, daily chores, parties, etc. Before we know it, we haven’t spent time or acknowledged Him in days, weeks, or even months.
Today, return God to His rightful place in Your heart. Connect with Him through His Word, prayer, or journaling. Thank Him for His unending patience, and ask Him to help you gain the discipline you need in order to meet with Him regularly.

I am at a place in my life where I must start making choices toward my future. Should I go to a local university? Should I travel across the country to attend a christian university? Should I take a break from school for a year? What sort of job would I like to pursue?
I can honestly say that I don’t know any of the answers to these questions, but God does. I have been looking to myself and to others in my life for answers and guidance, when my Father has been standing right beside me all along waiting to whisper the answers in my ear.
I encourage you today to make the important choices in your life with Jesus. He knows what is best for you and He knows what will bring you the utmost joy.

Jesus, I come to You for direction. The decisions I’m making right now are shaping such a crucial part of my life. I cling to Your guidance, Lord. The world offers all kinds of advice, but I look to Your voice and seek solely Your plan. Set my feet on the path that You have for me. I lift every decision weighing on me before Your throne. Lead me clearly that I might know exactly which way to go, for Your Spirit is not one of confusion but of peace.

Today, let Jesus be your Valentine. Tell Him how much you love Him, thank Him for all He has done for you, and allow Him to shower you with blessings and sweet intimacy.

Your consuming fire is my heart’s desire, Jesus!

The only shelter that will suffice against the storms of life that billow around you is Christ. He loves you, and just as He sheltered Noah in the ark from the flood, He will be your place of refuge in the wilderness. Draw near to Jesus and you will find safety from tribulations and temptations. You will find rest and comfort in your heavenly Bridegroom’s embrace.

Lord, I love the unknown because it is known to You.
So if you want to brag, do what the Scriptures say and brag about the Lord. - 1 Corinthians 1:31

If we measured the amount of time we talked about ourselves in a day, how much would that be? How many hours a day do we talk about our achievements, goals, plans, friends, possessions, etc? Do we spend more time talking about ourselves than about Jesus?

God, forgive me for all of the time I’ve wasted talking about myself when I could have been glorifying Your name. Help me not to boast about all that I do for You, but rather what You have, are, and will do for me.
